Fu-Xing Pei, MD

Prof. Pei currently serves as the director of the department of orthopedics in West China Hospital. He has been engaged in articular surgery clinic and research for over 20 years, experienced in the clinical treatment of articular surgery. Prof. Pei has trained over 70 postgraduates and PhD graduates and was invited as a speaker in academic conference hosted by other countries and areas.

Prof. Liu is expert in treating patients with severe orthopedic problem and joint reconstructive surgery. His research interests include: 1. the mechanism of pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of osteoarthritis; 2. the pathology of osteonecrosis of the femoral head and joint reconstruction surgery; 3. the joint replacement surgery, perioperative management and quality improvement.

Prof. Pei has published over 200 papers and over 70 SCI papers in the domestic and foreign journals. He has 9 patents and is awarded prizes of technology development in medicine. Pro. Ma is the chief editor of Focus of Joint Arthroplasty. He is also the member of the editorial board and associate editor in a number of magazines like Chinese Journal of Orthopedics, Chinese Journal of Joint Surgery, and Orthopedic Journal of China.
