Prof. Tang is the President of Department of Orthopaedics, Chinese PLA General Hospital, Administration Executive of Department of Orthopaedics and the Chief Physician of Surgery Staff Room.
Prof. Tang is also the Chairman of Committee of Orthopaedic Trauma Group of Chinese Orthopaedic Association, Secretary-General of Trauma Branch of Chinese Medical Association, Director-general of Chinese Medical Association Orthopaedic Branch, President of China Trauma Branch of SICOT, President of AO/ASIF in Northern China and Minister of Education of OTC in China. He has engaged in orthopedic clinical, teaching and research work for nearly three decades, specializing in osteoporosis hip fracture of the elderly and complicated pelvic acetabulum fractures of the limbs. He also made series innovative researches on the fields of elderly hip fracture, complex pelvic fracture, and new fixation system. Being the Editor-in-Chief of 4 medical Journals such as Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research and Chinese Journal of Shoulder and Elbow, Prof. Tang had published more than 100 articles as first author or corresponding author.
